As a former insurance executive and attorney, I have spent 14 years personally adjusting or supervising thousands of high exposure cases around the world, including mass tort, construction defect, complex business cases, catastrophic personal injuries, and wrongful death. The cases involved numerous lines of insurance, including personal, commercial, property, fidelity, surety, and excess and special risks.
I also supervised the defense of lawsuits against Fireman’s Fund alleging improper claims handling and within this role reviewed hundreds of files to determine if the adjuster had adhered to proper claims handling guidelines.
Since 1994, I have been retained and/or testified on behalf of both insured’s and insurance companies in 26 states on issues relating to insurance Claims Handling and proper claims handling.
